We observe World Sickle Cell Day, marked every year worldwide on 19 June to create awareness on the disorder and how it affects the lives of people who have it and those who love them.

At BAFROW Medical Centre:

• Our in-house Paediatrician, Dr. Oladele F. Olagbegi, will be conducting awareness creation activities at facility level, specifically targeting our staff and patients and offering them genotype testing
• We will display important information about Sickle Cell on our electronic message board
• We will provide key facts on Sickle Cell Disease on our website
