Social Mobilization

We work closely with influential people such as traditional communicators and religious and social leaders as well as existing community structures like the village development committees to reach and engage with community members for their participation in and ownership of the program.

A significant element of our social mobilization activities is to capacitate beneficiaries so that, with the support of trained community based mobilizers, they can take charge in auditing their own environment, their community systems, their family and individual health practices, identify and act on their roles and responsibilities, and demand actions from relevant stakeholders at different levels of governance and operations.
