Youth Empowerment and Reproductive Health and Rights
YAG-BAF has established sub-groups in all secondary schools throughout the country, as well as in the model villages. Through the sub groups, issues concerning young people such as youth development, empowerment and sexuality, GBV, teenage pregnancy, FGMC and related practices are discussed in workshops and seminars, and action plans resulting from these fora are implemented within the framework of the YAG-BAF program. YAG-BAF, networks with other youth organizations in the country and at the international level.
Some significant aspects of YAG-BAF's activities are, the development of, IEC/BCC messages production of dramas, conducting open theatre, production and dissemination of video documentary and music, organizing sports, and publication of a newsletter called Baati Ndaw-yi (Voice of the Young) all in support of behavior change interventions with respect to its main activities. YAG-BAF's activities are targeted at both in and out of school youths of both sexes.
Other areas of intervention include
(a) increased behavior change among young people and increased number of adolescents and youth using RH services;
(b) Increased creativity and participation among young people in program activities
